Not a Chevron

Well ......

Not quite sure what went wrong but its obviously not a true chevron design.

I don't know if I misread the pattern or I missed a stitch.

Will practice more and try again later.

I'm trying my hand at a crocheted chevron rug like the pic above but in purple shades.

Wish me luck!!

The pattern can be found in Patons Book 1257

New Project

I'm crocheting a string shopping bag. Thinking that it might be a small version but I suppose it depends on the stretch of it.

The pattern comes from

Its a great book with stitch instructions as well as some patterns.

Bracelets

I made this one yesterday (took nearly 4 hrs in total) in between other things.

I'm really happy how these bracelets are turning out.

What do you think?

Crocheted Bracelets

I've been busy making bracelets. I'm hoping to find a market for them.

They are so easy to make. I make them in about 4-6 hours tops.

This is for a little girl
This one fits a larger wrist
And this is one my 19yr old niece ordered.

What a good day!

The oldest two boys, second day at school. Cameron started kindy.

Wow! What an amazing experience to do grocery shopping without a child or having to rush home to look after a child while Gary goes to sleep (night shift). I almost felt guilty hahahahaha

Cameron had a great start to his kindy. Though he can be "determined" at times apparently. The centre has overbooked so I was asked if he could go Thursdays instead. Yeah! That's no bother to me :D

All my babies are grown now (don't know whether I should be laughing or crying)

This afternoon I went to a friend's house where we crocheted, well, tried to crochet. I'm not the best teacher so my explanations can be sometimes confusing. Sorry! But it was fun and we did laugh. And she taught me an easier way to cast on to knitting needles. I can't wait to start practising that lol
