Mum or Mom

I'm an Australian.

We call our mothers ...... Mum.

My American friends call their mothers ..... Mom.

My eldest two boys call me .... Mum.

My youngest calls me ......

Yep, you guessed it.

Cameron calls me .....

Mom!

It makes me giggle every time I here it (which is lots in one 24 hr period)

I can't even blame it on an American friend of mine :D

Cameron's favourite all time movie is Transformers.

He calls people .... humans! (hoo-mans)

And he calls me Mom!

I made this one yesterday (took nearly 4 hrs in total) in between other things.

I'm really happy how these bracelets are turning out.

The Irish Wedding Blessing

I've always loved this blessing and in hindsight, of course, wish I had used it at my own wedding.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon the fields.

May the light of friendship guide your paths together.
May the laughter of children grace the halls of your home.
May the joy of living for one another
trip a smile from your lips, a twinkle from your eye.

And when eternity beckons,
at the end of a life heaped high with love,
May the good Lord embrace you
with the arms that have nurtured you
the whole length of your joy-filled days.

May the gracious God hold you both
in the palm of His hands.
And, today, may the Spirit of Love
find a dwelling place in your hearts.

Crocheted Bracelets

I've been busy making bracelets. I'm hoping to find a market for them.

They are so easy to make. I make them in about 4-6 hours tops.

This is for a little girl
This one fits a larger wrist
And this is one my 19yr old niece ordered.

Sea Scene Diorama

One of Connor's assessment pieces for this term's Unit was to build a Sea Scene Diorama. Gary, Connor & I collaborated and this is the end result.
Connor did most of it with me and Gary helping out on the hardest parts.
